Good morning and welcome to Day 3 of the Volleyball Victoria Junior Open!

After 2 days of hard-fought volleyball action it all comes down to Day 3 - Finals Day.

Just a couple of reminders heading into the last day:

We have been loving the atmosphere and music, however, please refrain from using Air horns as this will confuse some players.

Please ensure the results section of the scoresheet (top left corner) is filled out for fast but accurate input of scores.

Ball & Scoresheet to be left on the scorebench and the court supervisor will come collect. It is the responsibility of the duty team to ensure that these are kept on the scorebench until the court supervisor arrives.

POOL PLAY MATCHES
The last pool play matches have a fixed playing time of 75 minutes.

Sets are played to 25 points (even a 5th set if we get to it). A team wins a set when they have a score of at least 25, with a lead of 2 points. Any number of sets may be completed within the specified playing time. The match is to continue even when a team is leading 2 sets to nil.

Scoreboards can be used for scoring purposes only (do not use the timing function).

For Courts 1,2 & 3 - With 10 minutes left in a match, an air horn will be activated in 3 x 1 second bursts. The start and finish of a match will be signalled by an audible siren – Air Horn being pressed for 5 seconds.

For Courts 4 - 13 - The start of the match will be signalled by an air horn and then 15 minutes into the match, a 60 minute countdown will start in the hall (only court supervisor is to use the timing function).

For Courts 14 - 15 - This hall will use Court 14 Scoreboard as the timing goes to 75 minutes on the scoreboard. The start of the game will be done via an airhorn.

FINALS & POSITIONING MATCHES
Courts that are best of 3 format: 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 14, 14B

We will be using 60 minute timeslots, however, these are best of 3 untimed. The start of the game will be done via an airhorn.
In all positional playoff matches, teams will play in a best of 3 set format (25, 25, 15) within their allotted time to determine a match winner.

POOL J MATCHES
Courts that are Pool J - 50 minute games: 3, 6, 10, 13, 15

We will be using 60 minute timeslots, where the teams will play as much volleyball as possible in 50 minutes playing time and 10 minute change over. 50 minutes will be placed on the clock at the start of the game and the 10 minute change-over period is after this.

Rolling presentations will be after each division has concluded on Court 2

Doors opening at 7:45am

Have an epic last day!
