FINALS & POSITIONING POOL PLAY MATCHES
Courts that are best of 3 format: 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17
We will be using 60 minute or 75 minute timeslots, however, these are best of 3 untimed. The start of the game will be done via whistle or siren. In all finals & positional playoff matches, teams will play in a best of 3 set format (25, 25, 15) to determine a match winner.
Good morning and welcome to Day 3 of the Volleyball Victoria Junior Open!
After 2 days of hard-fought volleyball action it all comes down to Day 3 - Finals Day.
Just a couple of reminders heading into the last day:
Please ensure the results section of the scoresheet (top left corner) is filled out for fast but accurate input of scores.
Ball & Scoresheet to be left on the scorebench and the court supervisor will come collect. It is the responsibility of the duty team to ensure that these are kept on the scorebench until the court supervisor arrives.
POOL PLAY MATCHES
Courts that commence today with pool play matches are: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11, 15.
The last pool play matches have a fixed playing time of 75 minutes.
Sets are played to 25 points (even a 5th set if we get to it). A team wins a set when they have a score of at least 25, with a lead of 2 points. Any number of sets may be completed within the specified playing time. The match is to continue even when a team is leading 2 sets to nil.
Scoreboards can be used for scoring purposes only (do not use the timing function – court supervisor will control the time).
