4 vs 4 Youth Beach Volleyball Tournament Beach Bums

Hello Coaches/Players,

Thank you all for registering and participating in this weekend’s 4 vs 4 youth beach volleyball tournament. We’re looking forward to a great day of competition. Please read the following information carefully, as it includes important details regarding the event.

Games will begin promptly at 9:00 AM and the entire schedule is available at www.rootgallia.com or on The Root Sports app.. Teams are encouraged to bring tents to provide shade for players and spectators. A designated grass area will be available for tent setup. Spectators should plan to bring their own chairs, as seating will not be provided. Coolers are permitted but need to be left in the grass area or in your vehicle.

There will be a gate fee for all spectators: $10 for ages 13 and up, $5 for ages 6–12, and children 5 and under are free. Our concession stand and lounge will be open throughout the day for food and drink purchases. Please ensure your players come prepared for a hot day—we strongly recommend bringing sunscreen, sunglasses, a towel, a hat, and plenty of drinks to stay hydrated. WE ASK THAT EVERYONE PLEASE RINSE OFF SAND BEFORE ENTERING THE BUILDING.

Before the first game begins, we will hold a brief team meeting to review rules and the format of the tournament. All games will follow standard indoor volleyball rules. Players may play any position on the court and are not required to rotate, but must remain in serving order.

Pool play will consist of three matches, each being a single set to 25 (win by 2). After pool play, teams will be seeded into a single elimination bracket. Bracket play matches will be best two out of three sets to 25 (win by 2). Licensed officials will be present on each court, and awards will be given to both the gold bracket champions and runners-up.
