Hello Volleyball WA Community,

Recent incidents across the sport have shown that we must pro-actively work together to ensure that all community members feel protected and respected. We are reminding all players, coaches, parents, and officials of our shared responsibility to uphold the values of respect, fairness, and inclusion in our sport.

Volleyball WA fully supports Volleyball Australia’s We Care initiative, which outlines clear expectations for everyone involved in the game:

Players – Compete with integrity, show respect to teammates, opponents, and officials.
Coaches – Lead with empathy, model positive behaviour, and prioritise athlete wellbeing.
Parents & Spectators – Support your team with passion, not pressure. Always show respect.
Officials – Enforce the rules fairly and confidently, while fostering a safe and respectful environment.
Poor behaviour – on or off the court – has no place in our sport. We ask every member of our community to reflect, reset, and recommit to the standards we all expect.
